Over the span of years since Education Matters began sending tutors to scholars requesting extra lessons, we have time and time again seen the benefits of this concentrated form of studying . It has become obvious to us that the scholars who have extra lessons throughout the year have less gaps in their knowledge due to missing the odd day of school or not fully understanding sections of work they fail to grasp before the classroom teacher is obliged to move on to the next section. The tutors pick this up immediately and concentrate on filling these gaps at the time they are created.
It is for this reason we have introduced study circles to our product list. In an Education Matters Study Circle our tutors teach up to 3 students in the same grade (and same subject). Students must form their own study circle from amongst their peers and select a venue for the lessons to take place. The hourly rates for each student in a study circle are considerably lower than for one on one tuition. Each student is billed separately.
We have found that both our students and their tutors enjoy these sessions and students can always opt for one on one tuition in the run up to exams.
Please see our rates page for details of hourly charges for study circles.
